Michael Ladouceur joined McMaster University as a full-time faculty member in 1991 and is currently Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing. He has taught nursing in Lesotho and Pakistan and has worked in primary care in the Canadian Arctic.

He was coordinator of the Northern Community Nursing Program for five years (1992-97) and has been instrumental in developing international and outpost clinical placements for undergraduate nursing students. He is currently a member of the Evaluation Task Force Group of the Nursing Education Research Unit (NERU). Ladouceur's primary research interests include instrument development in education research, social epidemiology, and international health. Most recently, he has been involved in investigating psychometric properties of tutorial-based assessments.
