Michael Jay



Instructor/Tutor, MSc Global Health Program

Completing his 32-year career as a Director General in the Government of Canada, Michael Jay has in-depth experience in program delivery, strategic planning and budgeting, policy analysis, human resource management, organizational change, evaluation and audit, communications, federal-provincial relations and stakeholder management.

For over 20 years with CIDA (Canadian International Development Agency), Jay managed the delivery of Canada's Official Development Assistance programs in support of poverty reduction around the globe.

He also worked in Canada's Foreign Affairs Ministry, including a posting with the Canadian embassy in Haiti, at the multilateral level with the World Bank in Washington DC, and at the provincial level with the Government of Saskatchewan in Regina.
