GHO Hosts Annual International Interdisciplinary Institute
The 9th Annual International Indterdisciplinary Institute took place from November 9 to 13, 2015, with a packed program that included an exploration of Problem-Based Learning (PBL), an overview of evidence based medicine, and a tour of the Centre for Simulation-Based Learning.
The Global Health Office welcomed professors from Nantong Medical College in China, and its affiliate organizations, specifically from the medical and basic sciences departments, as well as one professor from the Centre for Medical Education at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland.
The Institute has been designed to provide health care educators and administrators with a comprehensive overview of McMaster’s innovative medical curriculum.
Participating faculty members are leading experts in the McMaster Medical School and health sciences fields. The Institute allowed visitors to advance their knowledge in medicine and health science education, and provided an opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues.
